Poké Bowl and Ramen at Sthålvis

Serving in a lovely deep plate in the Arabesque series is a sensation and just right.

Did you know that Poké Bowls come from Hawaii and the word poké can be translated as cut into pieces? That's exactly what the Poké Bowl is - a bowl of delicious ingredients cut into delicious pieces. A perfect dish when you want to improvise with what you have at home. The same goes for ramen soup - another dish you can play and experiment with almost as much as you like. The Japanese favourite is a sonic experience in its homeland - you slurp it up. So set the table with depth.

Amen, isn't it time for ramen
Ramen is a perfect weekday dinner and lovely to serve in our deep plate in the Arabesque series. Add what you like and have at home in your pantry. Try it out. Here's a quick version with chicken and mushrooms.

Ingredients 4 servings
Ramen for 4 people
2 ready-cooked chicken fillets
2 hard-boiled eggs
250 g fresh mushrooms
In a clove of garlic
Bean sprouts can be substituted with other soybeans or whatever you like.
In red onion cut into wedges
1-2 tbsp oil
2 stock cubes
1.5 l water

Flavourist
Grated ginger
Lime
Japanese soy
Sesame oil
1 tsp sambal oelek
Spring onions or chives to cut over

Here's what you do. Get out a casserole. Cut the mushrooms and fry them in the oil. Add the garlic when the mushrooms have turned a little colour. Quickly add the onion. Add the water, stock cube, noodles and sambal oelek and the seasonings of your choice. Cook the noodles in the broth according to the instructions on the packet. Place in deep bowls along with sliced chicken fillet and egg halves and whatever else you want to enhance the flavour. Top with bean sprouts and any other greens you have in your pantry. Yum!
